nonsense. By refusing to set a boundary and stick to it (enforce it themselves) they are making their own survival harder You do know that the Palestinians are not 'allowed' armed forces, that is why Hamas are called terrorists. ...that and barbecuing Jews

Hamas are the terrorist paramilitary organisation that the Gazans elected to represent them BS That electroal mandate ran out over 10 years ago. And not only that, most 2024 Gazans did not even get the chance to vote in that election.

'The Gazans' refers to the current Gazans. Had you said the then Gazans had elected Hamas you'd have had a point but an irrelevant one.
Half of Gazans weren't even born when a party that campaigned on peace with Israel (but was actually Hamas) won that 2007 election. Another 25% of Gazans did not have the vote then and of that remaining 25% many of them did not vote for Hamas.
You're positioning a false argument.

Hamas are the terrorist paramilitary organisation that the Gazans elected to represent them One vote 17 / 18 years ago with no more votes since, hardly constitutes "elected" government. The 20 year olds of today were toddlers then.

There is perhaps nothing more embarrassing than a mistaken attempt at pedantry. It looks to me like you have problems with very basic English comprehension. My statement was / is completely correct.

Gaza is dysfunctional Having just held public celebrations for barbecuing Jews, I very much doubt the population would vote liberal democrat if elections were held tomorrow

You used the word represent, not me. Yes - I said the Gazans elected Hamas to represent them I never said that situation itself represented anything - never mind democracy

Israeli soldiers killing innocents / Hamas doing it, result is the same. Needless suffering whilst Hamas leaders in exile live in safety.

We didn't have the tech to avoid bombing German Civilians. The Israelis have the means to kill every Hamas leader without harming a single innocent.

There is perhaps nothing more embarrassing than a mistaken attempt at pedantry. It looks to me like you have problems with very basic English comprehension. My statement was / is completely correct. It was at best deliberately misleading and it looks like an attempt to justify Israel killing civilians, maybe you could clarify. The election was in January 2006. Hamas did not stand. A party called 'Change and Reform List' did although it was known they had strong Hamas alignment even then they didn't get close to a big majority. The electoral mandate from that ran out over a decade ago, over half of the then Gazans did not get to vote and over half of current Gazans were not even born then.

WW2 is irrelevant. The law changed after WW2 precisely to make illegal either the deliberate or reckless disproportionate killing of civilians.
