Um, no it didn't end in 2006, where does it say that in the article. "In 2011, a civil war broke out in Syria. Leaked diplomatic cables reported that the US government had been covertly funding Syrian opposition groups since 2006, mainly the London-based Movement for Justice and Development in Syria and an associated satellite TV channel Barada TV.[42] Special Activities Division teams were said to have been deployed to Syria during the uprising to ascertain rebel groups, leadership and potential supply routes.[43][44]" You do realise 'since' means beginning from 2006? All the covert activities go from 1940s until the present day I wish you'd read links properly instead of haphazardly, as you admitted you do previously on here You mean they discussed it. Who'd have thought. We believe Bashar's weaknesses are in how he chooses to react to looming issues, both perceived and real, such as...the potential threat to the regime from the increasing presence of transiting Islamist extremists. This cable summarizes our assessment of these vulnerabilities and suggests that there may be actions, statements and signals that the United States Government can send that will improve the likelihood of such opportunities arising. These proposals will need to be fleshed out and converted into real actions and we need to be ready to move quickly to take advantage of such opportunities. Many of our suggestions underline using Public Diplomacy and more indirect means to send messages that influence the inner circle. As I said, in the end the people rose up and the S.S did nothing to help them.

Yes - Pakistani drug gangs and related 'trades' Bro, Tommy Robinson is a convicted drug dealer, multi times convicted criminal for fraud and many other things. Bad move to bring that up while bringing him up. Edit: Whoops, for some reason the forum skipped back to old pages .. and I replied to old posts. My bad. Perhaps. But Tommy Robinson isn't being forced / invited into the country, into government and up the anus of the UK public at large, by the civil service.

Oh so that makes quoting him as a source ok then That's an odd question. I'm not sure if i supposed to give the obvious answer here - ie that quoting people is generally okay if they say something pertinent

Well let me put it this way: if I quote Kim Jong Un talking about violations of their country's airspace, I'm likely to do it with a laugh and shaking of the head

So far i'm following, but it does seem a weird deviation.
