If the government is appointed by the monarch, is the opposition too?
If there's only 3 seats between the Tories and the LibDems, a handful of by elections could see the LibDems overtaking. Would they become the opposition at that point or not? 🤔

Having looked it up, the Speaker apparently decides who is leader of the opposition while the Monarch "decides" on Primr Minister.
