Oh Yes! We spent thousands building them cycle ways and still the Lycra squad ride down the middle of the road. Cycling in the road ought to be illegal wherever there is a perfectly good cycle path right beside it. Seconded And cycling for commercial purposes (ie deliveries) should be illegal without insurance and visible registration |

It's reported that the Dutch government is banning the possession and use of speed booster devices for electric bicycles on public roads. The measure is designed to improve road safety and limit nuisance. There have been complaints in the Netherlands about fast-moving electric bicycles for some time. So-called fat bikes* in particular are a source of contention. Those e-bikes with fat tires and a large saddle are very popular among young people. Like all other electric bicycles, the bicycles are allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 25 kilometres per hour (15.5mph). But speed boosting kits for fat bikes are becoming popular. They can be used to equip the bike with a throttle so pedalling is no longer needed, and can also remove the top speed limitation.
*We see these fat bikes around London. The UK legal top speed is 15.5mph, but they're often zooming the wrong way up the road, on pavements, and in pedestrian only areas. From the site below, some models are rated for more than double the legal speed.
Shouldn't these illegal bikes be banned...?

Going to be interesting to see how he straddles multiple horses on this The UK public very much do not support what Israel have been doing Many of his party and Labour supporters very much are against what Israel has been doing But he knows being openly critical would have been electoral suicide and made life with his in-laws tense. |

The right-wing Israeli paper, YNet News, is congratulating Starmer on his win and being pro-Israel through and through.
Maybe that tells you something, maybe it doesn't.
Maybe he should continue to tell us that Palestinians deserve to have water and power cut off, then u-turn on that five seconds later? As he has done recently

That's flat out untrue, that is exactly what he said. Israel 'has the right' to withhold power and water from Gaza, says Sir Keir Starmer. Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has decried the actions of Hamas as 'terrorism' and said Israel has the “right to defend herself.”
