My bet is Kemi Bad Enoch. They will probably go far right to grab reform voters. Reform are centre right not far right. They are trying to pretend mainstream opinions are extreme. They have been trying to do this for years.

This really is the most tedious argument Vinny. Labour are currently Centre-left. Corbyn was left. One nation Tories are Centre-right. The “populists” and Reform are right. None of which really matters anyway. You call new labour centre left and then tell Vinny this is a tedious argument? New labour past and present were a fag papers width to the left of centre right. Why do you think they have been called red tories for the last nigh on thirty years? of course it matters. No one wants two centrist globalist liberal tory parties do they , hence why reform and others are appealing to many voters , and why labour and Tory have apperently had their lowest share of vote in 100 years , as two cheeks of the same disliked arse. Screaming right wing loonies at Farage and reform isnt going to make them go away.

Whatever the occasional lurches towards extremes by UK political parties, the mass of the UK electorate has proved over the years that its political feelings are firmly in the centre, stretching across moderate Left to Right.
That's what the Conservative Party has to quickly take on board if it ever wants to regain power...

The problem is that the so called centrists are often just as extreme, incompetent, or otherwise unsuited for government as the so called fringe
Blair being the prime example of that

When you ask how so, are you asking whether there was anything extreme about Blair?
Populism and populists are often extreme, Blair was a populist Labour politician.
Making friends with Putin and selling him arms? The deal in the desert with Qadafi? The Iraq war?
Guess what, Trump was popular too in 2016, did that make him right? Brexit was popular, was that correct and proper?

So we won't know the new Tory leader until November 2nd www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c6p24l5254xo Idiot timing but it's them that will lose out. And they're still letting their membership have the final vote despite that working out so bad last time they had that option
