Sunak showing again how he and the plot are light years apart. A stupid idea that the more idiotic of his ~300,000 members will love and the rest of the ~40 million electorate will see as stupid.

Like just hiring more volunteer servicemen and women.

In their defence, I don't think that's the idea. I think the nod to national service is to persuade the old men who want to vote Reform that the Tories are safely back in the 50's when everything was well and coppers clipped your ear and young men served their country.

Indeed, as did many Daily Mail comments. To be honest though it's quite easy to offer something you know you won't have to deliver. That's where the LibDems went wrong in 2010 and ending up in the coalition.

If they are going to spilt the vote like that they've got no one to blame but themselves when Labour win in a landslide.

Yes, its the extremes that ruin parties. They all think they represent the majority of silent voters. On both sides if the Fence. Corbyn's lot will never accept killed Labour in 2019 and the new Reformers will claim they are saving the Tories while killing them.

All those idiots on the other forum can do is keep repeating Labour will be worse. It is all they have left. Starmer's biggest selling point is the Tories for it is difficult to imagine how anything or anyone can possibly be worse than them. That there remain millions of people who even now think the Tories are the best option for this country is itself a tribute to the stupidity of electorates.
