Has anyone else watched the Sunak Starmer debate?
Just watched it. Felt very biased toward Rishi who kept talking over Sir Kier and was never stopped despite agreed rules.
Sir Kier seemed nonplussed by the lack of manners and found it hard to reciprocate, but when he did the Julie Etchingham called both to order.

Haven't watched it yet, haven't had time. Will do on ITV X or whatever it's called now.

It was pretty awkward, both candidates made me cringe. Sunak constantly going on about £2000, Starmer being "not a Tory".
This was a real opportunity to sell their vision, but I don't think either did. Sunak constantly talking over was rude.
I hope manifestos are out before the next one so that we can debate policies.

Couldn't have put it better myself, Especially the manifesto's. I genuinely worry that Labour have missed a trick by saying they wont increase Income, Vat, NI. I realise that no one wants to pay more tax, but I don't think the public believe its possible to mend everything without doing so.

Exactly that, which is why Rishi's tax cuts have made no difference to polling.

Just watched Jonathon Ashworth calling out Sunak as, as bad a liar as Johnson, starting to get a bit tasty.

How about short term harmful = jail long term harmful = 10 years permanent harmful = life without parole Hmm. So glass of water=Jail? Yes, any assault with intent or outcome to intimidate and humiliate should result in jail

The most worrying thing for me was Sir Kier saying he expected inflation to rise again this Autumn.. As a business this is seriously bad news.

OK seems I need to clarify Any unprovoked assault with intent to intimidate and publicly humiliate should result in jail. I really have a low tolerance on deliberate shitty behaviour especialy in this case where it seems she did it to publicise her Only Fans account to make money

So she has no mitigation. Alternatively if she feels that hearing political views they dislike is excuse enough to launch assaults then she needs to be locked up in a secure mental institution.
First they came with the milk shakes . . .

First they came with the milk shakes . . . From past experience, I tend to group your views on criminal punishment with the 'hangers and floggers'. On this occasion I agree with you, at least in part. This business of throwing milk shakes or other harmless liquids over politicians is, I think, becoming 'fashionable'. It's bloody stupid and needs to be stopped. I think a few custodial sentences may be in order to encourager les autres.
