How is it we have got here?
Football hooligans are 'allowed' to go on a riot and chant racist slogans and are then considered the 'victims' because they are from Israel.
Western governments and media have been to quick to call it out as anti-Semitism in spite of the evidence that Maccabi Tel Aviv 'supporters' instigated the riots.
Chants of 'there is no school in Gaza because we have killed all the children' and 'kill all the Arabs' can be clearly heard from Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters before and during the match.
All Israeli football teams should be banned from all EUFA competition as Russian teams are for their illegal occupation of Ukraine.
The 'attacks' on Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters have been likened to the Holocaust by some western leaders which in itself is an anti Semitic statement.
It would appear that Israeli people are now immune from criticism now even if they commit obvious crimes.

Israel shouldn't be allowed in UEFA competitions, they are not a European country.
Ajax supporters don't exactly have a reputation as angels either so I suspect there is blame on both sides and as is too often the way it will be innocent people who get the worst of this.

My point is that this is being reported, in the western media, as an anti Semitic assault on the Jewish supporters whilst the evidence does not support that narrative. The Maccabi supporters were well documented as singing racist songs and attacking houses when they arrived but our press barely mentioned this.

Some Western media maybe. Suggest read the Reuters report: www.reuters.com/world/europe/buildup-attacks-israeli-football-supporters-amsterdam-2024-11-09/ 'Tension began to build on Wednesday as some of the 3,000 visiting Maccabi supporters had minor altercations back and forth with locals including taxi drivers and Ajax supporters in the city centre, police said.
A police report said groups of Maccabi supporters burned a Palestinian flag on Dam square, pulled another down from a nearby building and vandalised a taxi.
After a call went out on social media, angry Muslim taxi drivers gathered outside a casino where a group of 400 Maccabi supporters were gathered, and police intervened amid skirmishes.
Dutch media have reported on videos purportedly showing the beating of a Muslim taxi driver and a group of youths yelling anti-Semitic slurs at a person in a canal said to be a Maccabi supporter who was pushed in.'

The person that took that video has claimed that it was not, as reported, a group of Arabas attacking Israelis but rather a group of Israelis attacking an Arab.
My point, again, is that the western media has wasted no time in condemning it as an anti semitic attack even after seeing the evidence.
"British media outlet Sky News has deleted footage from its social media accounts showing Israeli fans chanting racist slogans before the UEFA Europa League match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Amsterdam, sparking accusations of censorship.
The footage, originally shared with the caption, “Israeli fans tearing Palestinian flags and chanting anti-Arab racist slogans,” was quickly removed without an explanation, prompting backlash from critics. Some accused the British news channel of self-censorship."
62 people were arrested but no Maccabi fans, as far as I can see, were arrested.

Israel shouldn't be allowed in UEFA competitions, they are not a European country. I kind of like the idea of allowing other countries outside the regions to compete in regional competitions, ie other countries outside Europe competing in Eurovision (I can't stand Eurovision but that's not the point) Agreed (without the condemnation of Ajax supporters)

All Israeli football teams should be banned from all EUFA competition as Russian teams are for their illegal occupation of Ukraine. 100% disagree No Russian football teams or supporters should be banned from any competition, ditto any Israeli ones Some supporters doing this or that in in no way reflects on all Israeli, or Russian for that matter - teams

They should not be treated with the respect other, civilised, countries are afforded.

Israelis are human beings, many were even protesting against Netanyahu and don't even agree with what's going on
Are you going to ban left wing Israeli clubs
Hapoel Tel Aviv Ultras often have communist flags for example

My post though, is about the lies western media are telling us about what actually happened in Amsterdam by saying it was an anti semitic attack against Jews. This only serves to dilute true ant semitism and puts Jewish people around the world in unnecessary danger.

Why wouldn't it be wrong to collectively punish millions of people for the actions of a few?

Are you really saying that no Amsterdam muslims conspired in advance to attack Macabi supporters merely for being Israeli citizens? If so then this may change your mind: www.yahoo.com/news/jews-kicked-beaten-humiliated-night-174535021.html 'The Telegraph has seen messages from a group chat called Buurthuis, a Dutch word for a type of community centre, which were posted on Wednesday, the day before the match.
One message says: “Tomorrow after the game, at night, part 2 of the Jew Hunt.
“Tomorrow we work them.”
