Is it time to ban LFI and CFI who appear to be wielding a lot of power in our Parliament.
One of the most significant funders is Conservative Friends of Israel (CFI), a parliamentary group which does not disclose its sources of funding.
Around 80 percent of Tory MPs are members of CFI. Over the past decade, it has taken more MPs on overseas trips than any other political donor in Britain.
Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), another opaquely funded parliamentary group, counts some 75 MPs as supporters or officers.

I know from my time in the Labour party that anyone attempting to challenge this were accused of indulging in antisemitic Jewish conspiracies or some such. To even suggest what is clearly most likely, that the funds directly or indirectly mostly come from Israel risked being kicked out of the party. There was for a time a video circulating in party circles showing the Jewish Labour MP Ruth Smeath accepting a large wad of cash from an Israeli diplomat. Anyone calling attention to this was instantly condemned as an antisemite, though the veracity of it was never denied. Curiously it is nowhere to be found now of course.

Now that the ICJ has ruled that in it's opinion Israel is an Apartheid state LFI and CFI are assisting in this illegal activity.

Well whilst I am opposed to Nutanyahu and what the Israel govt is doing it is perfectly legal and acceptable for others with a different view to be friends of Israel. I detect double standards here because in another thread you defend the criminal activity of JSO protestors who were jailed, yes they are allowed to protest but not in the way they did. Just because you agree with someone’s aims doesn’t make their actions legal nor does your disagreement make them illegal, that you won’t see the difference I expect but surprise me

I have said, quite often that I do not agree with JSO's tactics. I cannot understand how you can compare the two.

Only because you detest the Israeli govt (I assume that’s the case) It is you unable to comprehend people can support the people and the existence of Israel and not Nutanyahu which is why I didn’t expect you to see the difference, and you can’t.

LFI and CFI are taking monies from the Israeli lobby in our Parliament, that constitutes a conflict of interest when it comes to the genocide in Gaza. Israel, under many governments, have been waging a war against the people of Palestine for decades, Netanyahu is only the latest incarnation, over 4000 Palestinians are held 'hostage' in Israel without trial. I believe in a Jewish state for Jewish people but only with agreement with all actors in the region.

It's important to see the difference between Israel and the acts of the IDF/Likud axis.
I have no issue with someone being friends with Israel, I have every issue with those that unquestionably back the latter.

I agree but I draw the line at MP's accepting monies and trips from an apartheid state and lobbying for them in our Parliament as CFI and LFI do.

Israel isn't really an apartheid state but it imposes apartheid on the West Bank Palestinians living in Israel do not have the same rights as Israelis. There are more than 60 Israeli laws that discriminate against Palestinian citizens of Israel. Israel is an apartheid state.

Nope, there are many Palestinians living in Israel with equal rights to vote, work, own property etc. A sizeable number of Palestinians do not choose to vote. Neither HRW not Amesty International back your claim, they and the ICJ do back my point saying the occupied territories (ie West Bank and East Jerusalem are managed in an apartheid way but crucially not in Israel itself. www.amnesty.org/en/latest/campaigns/2022/02/israels-system-of-apartheid/www.hrw.org/news/2024/07/19/world-court-finds-israel-responsible-apartheid
