CBS NewsAnd now, after years of smearing anyone who pointed out Joe was unfit for office, they've finally caved, the Neoliberal media has finally caved (NYT, WaPo etc all posting multi articles saying he needs to go now - the Atlantic also, countless others) It's like the Dems want to lose this election to Trump. And if you look at Kamala's poll ratings, she's even more disliked than Biden, she wouldn't stand a chance Their best bet at this juncture is to strong arm Michelle Obama into the race; she's the only D who polls high enough to beat Trump in a re-election, but she's publicly said so many times she has 0% intention to run for any office whatsoever - let alone president IOW, the Dems are borked and Trump is prez - and sadly it was all 100% self-inflicted / 100% avoidable

It's been amazing to see, and the 'countless others' could certainly encompass our mainstream media on this side of the Atlantic, most notably the BBC who have now flipped their 'hear nothing, see nothing' stance and are going after Biden with a vengeance.
Of course The Democrats are much too wily to be thoughtlessly sleepwalking into an impending defeat. They'll have more than one trick up their sleeve, or possibly have learned well in advance of upcoming circumstances that will see an election taking place without the participation of Donald Trump ... even no November election at all isn't beyond the realms.

The odd thing in all this is that while Biden is old - arguably too old for such a demanding role, Trump is only a couple of years younger and appears to have serious mental deficiencies. It’s a dreadful place the USA has got into. I wonder if they can find a path out?

I see sleepy Joe is again a figure of ridicule . Apparently he called Zelensky "president Putin" at the NATO summit , and called called Kamala Harris "president trump"  I mean the piss taking is daily now , and I personally think , as my father had vascular dementia in his last years , this is evil beyond imagining forcing this old incapable man to continue for party political reasons ,and disregarding his clear health problems.  |

The leader of the "free world" and president of the UK. This affects us as a vassal state of the Pax Americana . I can't see Biden backing down , to do so would be public humiliation of the democrats . |
