It is making the headlines today. DUP leader has stepped down and been suspended from his party after being charged with offences of an historic nature, said to include rape and other sexual assaults. Two women have come forward. A 57 year old woman has also been charged with aiding and abetting the alleged offences. The charged former leader vigorously refutes the allegations.
Innocent until proven guilty and all that. None of us have sufficient information to base any kind of opinion on in regards to his alleged guilt or innocence.
We just have to let justice take it's course and await new information. This is serious shit of course, but I for one am not going to form any opinion regarding guilt or innocence without much more reliable information.

And it appears today that prosecutors think there is enough evidence against him and his wife to put both on trial. But I am not privy to any of this evidence and I doubt whether any of us are, so we will have to wait until the trial to have any real information to form an opinion on in regards his guilt or innocence. Until then I will stick with innocent until proven guilty, but if guilt is proven he needs to experience the full weight of the law |
