Don't care about Hoyle. Just hope Bercow gets a peerage.

As I've explained to you before, he couldn't hold the Tories to account as had he 'named' say Boris for any one of his numerous breaking of house rules then the Tories with that majority would have forced a division and not supported the default suspension from the house. Surely it's more honourable to fall on that sword and expose them as the charlatans they are rather than go along with it..?

He didn't really 'go along with it' and Labour didn't make it an issue (probably rightly) so Hoyle couldn't either

The guy has absolutely no business being speaker. This makes a complete farce of parliament, what a fricking joke! I can. Parliament is a farce of the highest order. Bercow wasn't popular , especially with the tories , but Hoyle appears to be a figure of ridicule tainted as starmers pet.

Hoyle isn't Starmer's anything, he just goes whereever popular sentiment takes him which is a bad way to be a speaker, but a lot of people are followers and go with the path of least resistance

Definitely. There's no way Lindsay Hoyle should continue on as speaker IMHO fully agree. On the other hand , he is doing a sterling job of cementing that places reputation as a corrupt cesspit. A government with 20% of the electorate's support and two thirds of the seats and the speaker being ...shall we say.......on good terms with the new prime minister. Apparently Kim jong uns generals are demanding he remodel the North Korean legislature under the British model , with nods winks and laughter.
