1) DUP lost 3 seats, including Ian Paisley's (SF held onto all theirs; Tories came in 11th place in NI by votes)
2) Reform didn't gain as many seats as expected.
3) The SNP deservedly lost their majority in Scotland given their recent scandals and corrupt antics.
4) Labour, despite winning, were still clearly shown on numerous occasions they aren't wanted and are only tolerated because the alternatives are inconceivable
One example:
She held onto her seat narrowly with a much-reduced majority.

You could argue that a vegan who only obtained animals who die owing to natural causes after being raised humanely for their life, as opposed to deliberate slaughter, isn't the same as any old butcher
No such parallel can be made for Galloway
This triggered the "inner pedant" in me who has to argue with everyone

Has a Rochdale resident
I can tell you now if labour had a Candidate for Rochdale there no way he would of won the Bye Election.
He was living on Borrowed time

Another good thing. The Greens were targeting 4 seats in particular and won all of them, quadrupling their representation in parliament.
Also, in spite of the collapse in support for the SNP and to some extent the DUP in Northern Ireland, lesser parties and independents together gained a larger vote share than at any time in the last hundred years, whilst the combined vote share of the two main parties was lower than at any time in the same period. The collapse in support for the Tories, greatly assisted by Reform, played a big part in that.
With every election our current voting system becomes ever more indefensible.

He was living on Borrowed time Well Labour decided to purge Azhar Ali because he didn't agree with Labour Friends of Israel's line on what happened on Oct 7th, he said Egyptian security warned them of what was going to happen but IDF ignored it, which is true, he said Israel allowed it to happen - as more evidence comes out about that, Azhar Ali is being proven right.

Him contesting Batley and Spen after Jo Cox was murdered was a very big indicator of the reasons for his running
