In a key note address on security [...] the Prime Minister sought to portray himself as the best person to lead the UK at a time of war and uncertainty. His speech to the UK Policy Exchange was seen by some as a soft launch of his campaign ahead of the general election expected later this year.
The wide ranging address warned of threats over the next five years from an "axis of authoritarian powers" including China, Vladmir Putin in Russia, Iran and North Korea and "extremists" , he said, seeking to sow division at home referring to supporters of independence and gender activists.
Hitting back at the PM's comments, SNP MP Mhairi Black, said independence was supported by around half of Scottish voters. And in today's PMQs Stephen Flynn, SNP Westminster Leader, objected to nearly half the Scottish electorate being lumped alongside Iran and Russia and wanted an apology...

Would you know if there's an unredacted version of the speech available? I've looked on the Government website and found a redacted version. I looked at the Policy Exchange website and that directed me back to the Government's version.
I could, I suppose, run the Youtube video but Sunak's delivery aggravates me almost as much as Dan Walker's.

Thank you. I was hoping there might have been an unredacted printed version somewhere.

I didn't have to watch for too long and I suppose it wasn't quite a matter of lumping together, but pretty close.
Can't say I'm surprised it was redacted nor that it was said. I tend to think of the current Executive as a bunch of chancers, and the sooner we're shot of them the better.

That's very close to my current thinking. And I find that disturbing because I used to consider myself a Conservative (much to the disappointment of my Labour-supporting parents — one in the NHS the other at Ford's).
I'm not anti-Sunak, but he lacks political experience and the backing and guidance of real One Nation Tory heavyweights. The party is now being run (and pulled apart) by several far Right rhetoric spouting factions. It looks like only a couple of spells in opposition gives it a chance of coming to its senses...

They are extremists. Their supporters are a bunch of xenophobic axe grinding anti English bigots. All parties these days are pretty extreme, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. We could go over some of the things the Tories have done and said, or Reform, or even Labour most recently, but why bother? We all know we have different definitions of what we consider extreme In any case, given the McCrone Report and all the cover-ups and blatant cheating of IndyRef by the Brit Nats' side, is it any wonder they are a little fed up with being told they are haggis munching so and so's? All that being said, the corruption scandals and recent extreme left bent in the SNP are indefensible, they are not a party I support in any way, shape, or form, nor any of their policies - bar Scot Indy - do fully support Scottish independence

Sadly looks like Scot indy is dead in the water for the forseeable - and Labour are going to take over in Scotland, where they treat the Scots like 3rd class citizens and openly so

Scottish separatism died ten years ago. Scotland is British, Scotland doesn't want separatism. Only racist separatists do and they're about to get their xenophobic arses kicked by Labour of all people.

I'd say it fell with the fall of Sturgeon but it would be a mistake to underestimate the swell of separatist feeling in Scotland. It may currently be a minority but it's a very substantial one.

Tbh sounds like the same tactics Labour (and Tories) use frequently these days - label everyone they disagree with a racist. A very poor substitute for an argument

When someone is a racist what better word is there? Their behaviour is to blame everything on English people. To support anyone but England in football. To even blame England for Brexit even though it was a UK vote and over a million Scots got UK independence from the EU over the line.
Any chip on their shoulder, they blame the English. And they will not offer English students the free tuition they offer to overseas students. They are a racist party appealing to racist people.

I don't think you can call Scots who hate the English racist as I think we are all the same race in the main. I think Celts and Saxons are tribes not races but I may be wrong

Sounds like me Except I'm worse And Brit Nats don't make racist comments about Scots? ie broadbrushing an entire movement and party And that makes someone a racist, supporting a different team............? Scotland voted against Brexit in all regions except for Orkney IIRC and yes the vote was driven by England, so how is it racist to point out a proven fact? They don't give tuition to English because then they'd be flooded with English students, they'd all go to Scotland, whereas they can control the flow of overseas students, that isn't racist at all I'm sure Reform UK aren't a racist party appealing to racist people.
