Are there any agreed plans for the future of this small circle?
If anyone knows, could they share it with the rest of us please?
Is it a whole new forum or an off-shoot of the other one which was a continuation of something else?

I'm a Global Moderator over at the other place, but I don't post much. This place is (currently) a little haven from the, "Waaahhhh - everything wrong with the World is down to evil Lefties", that seems to be the default position of most posters on Tinc's site. It gets boring pretty quickly.

I am aware that it may just becone Mark 2 since Red has found us. If there is no idea what the flavour here is envisioned, or any boundaries, once the URL is passed around rhe population of what I wanted to leave will all relocate over here.

As long as they are discussed IMPERSONALLY and remain on topic. But why open a new forum and invite everyone here when they are already there? Why not just eliminate the members over there who are causing so much trouble that you want to start a new forum? Example. Not only does Jonksy never post anything which takes any discussion of any subject forward, but he spends his time attacking other members or using language that puts the forum into an 18 classification for no reason. His presence is a constant black hole and he should never have been allowed to stay active. He wasnt the only one. Which is why some few stopped posting. Which is why I said that whoever holds the reins here should decide and maintain a publically declared level of discourse and stick rigidly to it. I am not interested in your arguments with Tinculin. I think he is too weak but am not interested in in-fighting. I just want a place to go for a respectful adult chat. That didnt used to be difficult. |

That didnt used to be difficult.
I am not interested in your disinterest in our argument with Tinculin. Tinculin manipulates rules for his own purposes. He spent 40 minutes copying and pasting Fox's old site. He didn't build the community. That work was done by others - by the members and mods on Fox's site. For reasons known only to himself, Tinculin appears to believe his copy-and-paste job gives him the right to exclude members, like Sword, from the community, despite their having contributed far more to building the community than Tinculin's mere 40 minutes.
A lot of discussion in 'our' community centres around democracy. We appear to think it's a good thing. Tinculin held a poll asking if the membership wanted more rules and moderation. The poll returned a strikingly conclusive answer: NO! Despite that, Tinculin went ahead and introduced more rules, which resulted in the banning of long-term members.
You might think Tinculin's rules are sensible. You might think they're conducive to intelligent conversation. But you can't reasonably think they're democratic. Nor can you reasonably think they're applied fairly. Tinculin is owed a debt of gratitude for stepping up and creating 'his' site when Fox withdrew. He has rightly received our thanks for that. But he has no right to start dictating or pruning the community into a shape that best pleases him. His 40 minutes of work hasn't earned him that right. |

Until that happens I will be keeping a low profile.

It was established in reaction to Tinculin's heavy-handed and arbitrary administration, so you can at least guess what this site is not intended to be. |

I'm actually finding the forum quite enjoyable without conflict, if by conflict you mean what happens on the other site. My dream is that we could somehow invite some right wingers over here but control to crap. My hope is new people find this site who don't want to trash it. |

There is nothing wrong with a sensible 'argument' with people with opposing views.
I have learned a lot since participating in boards such as this and have changed my mind on many things given a sound reasoned argument.
It is wading through dross and dealing with loud-mouthed idiots who have no sensible point to add that are tiresome and puts off the sensible ones.

The EUSSR Parliament has approved a controversial shake-up of the bloc's migration system which advocates claim will better "protect" its borders. Well you would know as the biggest wankers are remainers......You lot soon get shitty when your beloved EUSSR are shown up for the total wankers that they are.. |
