It is interesting to note that our government and media condemned the Dutch people when the video was released, without any context or evidence of who was doing what. The Maccabi fans were instantly labelled as the victims for no other reason that they are Jewish, this is in fact anti Semitism, (singling them out because they are Jewish). If an incident happens in Gaza or the West bank involving the mass killing of Palestinians by the IDF, and our government is asked to comment, they always say "we will have to wait until a thorough investigation has taken place before we can comment", Why did they not wait for a thorough investigation when the Maccabi hooligans ran riot in Amsterdam??? Double standards, racism... Nope, please provide a link of provenance to back your assertion. The Palestinian body that agreed the Oslo accords formally recognised the state of Israel as part of that process. Likud and its ultra Zionist fellow travellers however maintained its demand for 'from the sea to the Jorna (river) there had to be total Israeli sovereignty. And that's why they killed the two state solution that the Oslo Accords would have delivered, that's why they killed the mutial security co-operation that even the Israeli security forces had praised. Recognition also does not absolve that party from keeping to the terms of the agreement, which provided for cessation of violence. The Likud party's original party platform is not Israel's official policy. The current Israeli government is comprised of a coalition. Israel did not cancel the Oslo Accords. They did not need to do that, because the Palestinian Arabs breached the Oslo Accords, by: Claiming ALL the land, continuing with terrorism against Israeli Jewish civilians including children, by firing thousands of rockets at Israeli cities, and by committing the October 7th, 2023 massacre.
