That may be true. However, it's beside the point for our purposes. Wapentake appears to have said that people who do have that intention should receive only a suspended sentence 'at worst'. If he wasn't discussing people who are actually guilty of these things, he wouldn't have mentioned a prison sentence at all. Please keep up,in the case of the woman the judge says she faces a custodial sentence,in the case of the man he (in fact both are) remanded in custody. Its been made clear by Starmer and cooper that people are going to prison for involvement in this. So you see I’m not discussing who is guilty or innocent in fact Jones has pleaded not guilty but perhaps in your world it’s guilty till proved innocent. So I only mention prison sentences because this administration have said that’s what will happen,is that clear enough for you? Not really. Can't you just tell us whether you think someone who says 'we should cut their throats and get rid of them' deserves a custodial sentence? A yes or no answer will work just fine.

Is it terminal with you?how difficult do you find it to understand my words at worst a suspended sentence. Now should I find those who came after Alan Turing to drop whatever they’re engaged in and decipher that for you?

It just seems incredible that you would think that someone who says 'we should cut their throats and get rid of them' in front of a crowd should never receive a custodial sentence. I thought it best to double check. I'm sorry if that upset you.

I don't like GB news because they deliberately pitch their news in such a way as to cause anger and trigger their viewers. Same with LBC. I order to do this they only share one side of the story making their reporting not necessarily untrue, but certainly unbalanced. Years ago I occasionally tuned in to Fox News USA on satellite,it was entertaining, their motto was”Fox News fair and balanced” which I translated to unfair and unbalanced. People have to be allowed to think and make their own decisions on what they see or read, you can’t legislate that . Like I say I don’t watch so can’t comment I agree we must look at every version of the news to get a clear picture. I listen to everything form the BBC to Al jazeera. So I must question why you only link news from companies who reflect a certain view?

Found it, thanks. You think incitement to cut throats should receive a suspended sentence 'at worst'? There was probably no intention to incite others to cut throats or burn immigrants in hotels.
The problem is, I suppose, how one separates real intent to incite from reckless use of words.
Spot on. And the ability to not deliberately assume intent over stupidity.

If someone says they should get the CIA to get rid of Trump, one can assume they are making a death threat or expressing disgust with the man.

Give the utterer a spell in jail to learn not to recklessly gob off in future. This whole 'he was just being reckless, we shouldn't really punish him' idea is just so wrong. It doesn't work for drink or dangerous driving and it shouldn't work either for encouraging others to kill.

Give the utterer a spell in jail to learn not to recklessly gob off in future. This whole 'he was just being reckless, we shouldn't really punish him' idea is just so wrong. It doesn't work for drink or dangerous driving and it shouldn't work either for encouraging others to kill. As far as encouraging others to kill goes, it is a defence to show the accused neither intended nor expected the crime to be committed. That said, I have some sympathy with your position.

Remember when certain Imams were referred to as 'hate preachers' by many of the same people who now campaign for Tommy Robinson (not his real name) to be allowed to incite racial hatred? And there's the rub. People are inconsistent, but does that mean we should ignore their views? No, but we are right to highlight the inconsistencies because they are themselves very revealing as to where someone is actually coming from, and the conscious or subconscious biases driving their arguments.

If someone says they should get the CIA to get rid of Trump, one can assume they are making a death threat or expressing disgust with the man. It will depend on the context. We know what the context was with Jones. In that situation, it is clearly an incitement to kill.

WE don't know the context, you want the context to be incitement to murder because you find her views abhorrent. I also think such views are abhorrent, but I don't think saying I wish you were dead is a death threat.

But you’ve got me banged to rights I am in fact only here to promote the politics of the Edl and Britain first.
