You really think he doesn't know about this? I bet he gets a brief of press cuttings every day like most ministers do. He needs to think of a clever answer before the next PMQs No, my point was the type of press running with this make believe story. Why haven't the BBC or Channel 4 covered it.

It's not Jess Phillips' fault this happened. If you're dying, you have to accept what you're given when they help you, you can't say to them "no treat them first" when your lips at blue, at the same time, she could have had a quiet word with them afterwards and done what she could in a nice and polite way to try and get them to change their policy
That's the best that could be hoped for in that situation, but to come out and say it openly at her political forum (to be fair, without the full video we don't know the full context of what happened anyway) without seemingly saying she had a word to try and make things right? I'm not sure that's the right thing to do
Whether that warrants Starmer sacking her or really getting in her face about it I don't know, that seems excessive. They should just go and have a quiet word with the NHS worker(s) in question about it instead of getting overly nasty about it

It was her decision to brag about it and to suggest best to support her politics if you want good NHS service.

She suggested no such thing, she simply raised it as a point - her intentions in stating it at this point are unclear, unless you can provide video

I think her words have been twisted.

Try this one www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/jess-phillips-says-she-was-given-quicker-nhs-treatment-because-she-backed-gaza-ceasefire_uk_66d1c87de4b0099ccb74e846 ''I got through because of who I am. Also the doctore who saw me was Palestinian, as it turns out. Almost all the doctors in Birmingham seemed to be.”
She added: “He was sort of like, ‘I like you. You voted for a ceasefire’. [Because of that] I got through quicker.”

Could be construed as saying "I got through because of who I am" as in normal people should get through with the same speed as her? Again, would be nice to see the rest of the interview before and after for full context, can't find it on YouTube, but you know who is posting plenty about it? That Saddo Jeff Taylor

Could be construed as saying "I got through because of who I am" a . . No because of 'She added: “He was sort of like, ‘I like you. You voted for a ceasefire’. [Because of that] I got through quicker.”No one forced her to add that.

That's your interpretation, it's not mine or Zany's and I believe you go by whoever's view gets the most backing (I don't personally, whoever's right is right no matter how many people back or don't back it)

Well Borg please explain your interpretation of 'She added: “He was sort of like, ‘I like you. You voted for a ceasefire’. [Because of that] I got through quicker.”
And note that even Philipps has now admitted they don't look clever (but didn't apologise)

Also the doctore who saw me was Palestinian, as it turns out. Almost all the doctors in Birmingham seemed to be.”[/u] "I got through because of who I am" It sounds to me like she's saying that's not right, like I said, this is just your interpretation, there's no proof she's bragging and saying it's a good thing per se. It's odd that the Daily Mail, Speccy and others don't provide a fuller transcript so we know what happened. I didn't realise it but Brum Live is mostly parrotting the Daily Express and Daily Mail in their article, their words come from those notoriously lying publications, I chose Brum Live as I figured it wasn't as much of a hack publication
