Look at the facts. There's a cabinet split over this issue in Labour, does that not tell you that maybe - just maybe - something is amiss with this policy?

Oh I'm dishonest now I'm dishonest for being fucking appalled at her raving it up while they cut WFA when 2 million pensioners will suffer in the cold due to this, while they cruelly emulate Tory policies elsewhere at the DWP, while they cruelly emulate Tory policies on immigration - and many other things besides And apparently I don't even care about child poverty, I'm just "baiting" people with this entire thread. You claim its disgusting that an MP is partying when others can't afford to heat their homes. I pointed out that there are always people who are suffering some sort of poverty and therefore you should wish MP's never to enjoy themselves. You tried to change the meaning of that sentence by saying this. Which is not what I said at all and therefore you are being dishonest. I do not believe you are unable to tell the difference between the two points. |

In which case, I'd just point to one thing: if Lab row back on what they've done here it will look bad for them - it will be a u-turn, increasingly it looks like they are about to u-turn so I think I'm close to being proven right on this?
I'd just say it's a shame they didn't get the policy right in the first place, they should be more careful in thinking things through before ploughing ahead. It seems they are rushing things and making a bit of a hash of it.
Whoever's in govt I personally hope they succeed, even when if it's Trump in power here, so ideology is less important than getting things done in the end
