This looks like serious criminal negligence. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgrj2g29kzxo'A "chemical incident" resulted in a toxic spillage affecting a 12-mile stretch of canals in the West Midlands, the firm involved said.
Anochrome Ltd, which deals in surface coatings and sealing, said the incident "regrettably" released chemicals into the Walsall waterway in the early hours of Monday.'
12 miles of canal wildlife killed, people put at risk and that's if they can continue to contain the incident. Either this company didn't have proper procedures for the highly lethal sodium cyanide or a rogue employee has defied them.
