But how about crazy golf? The World Championships are hosted every year near me and I'm sure they'd make a great Olympic Sport
As for modern rhythmic gymnastics (or whatever it's called now) I understand that some men will pay good money to see a girl rolling around on a mat with a ball but it is a sad perversion and it shouldn't be on our TVs

I also wouldn't have most of the team sports. If Olympic gold is not the pinnacle of your sport then no games for you. How many footballers would swap a World Cup winners medal for an Olympic one? If you are a hockey player there is no greater prize than Olympic gold but if you play basketball the pinnacle is the NBA championships (especially if you are American). I'd like to see the football replaced with 5 a side like the rugby has the 7s and b-ball has the 3-on-3. ...and golf and tennis can get stuffed too. No one is swapping their major for a gold. All suits me. The Olympics could be finished in a day. |

I'd watch that. Skateboard slalom would be fantastic to watch, far better than the freestyle. Or skateboard cross. |

Didn't some guy in that Dutch team rape a 12 year old girl? I don't know if the IOC can choose to get rid of him or sanction them, maybe they already have, but I find that absolutely horrifying to be honest. He did his time. It was statutory rape. He was 15 and they slept together. Still wrong but on a different level to abducting a child and raping her. In my book anyway. From having read the details, it turns out she was 12 and he was 19 at the time and he did it several times, he also hurt her she said, he even flew all the way out to England to do it Not the same as child abduction and rape but very sick, perverted and wrong and he only served 13 months for it in total It's his total lack of remorse after being released in 2017 that's the real kicker though, the NSPCC critiqued him for that. And then he backtracks and says he did his time and is sorry etc The olympics seems to get heavily criticised for many things from seeing the media responses |
