Well the second set wasn't Wrong person won anyway. Much as I dislike Djokovich I think he deserved that one. He has been such a class player for so long - just not a class bloke.

Wot no live coverage of the tennis final :-( It was on the red button wasn't it? The coverage has been somewhat confusing. The BBC have uk live coverage, and a certain amount of recorded (iPlayer) highlights, while Discovery+ (Disney) have an amount of live and all recorded highlights on demand. I've no idea who has what, and I heard tell, last week, that many of the Discovery+ staff (they're in a small office in Scotland) aren't too sure, either! D+ are set to be the new Sky when it comes to hoovering up sporting events. I'm told they're going to be after the 6 Nations when it's available (BBC licence runs out next year), and Wimbledon is in their sights, too..

2 more golds. GB catching France and Australia. One more gold puts us in 3rd place on the medal table.

One of Japan's golds was the bloody break dancing. Like that's a real Olympic event. I'm outraged. Drop another nuke on them...

They probably think similar about dressage I wouldn't have any event that has to be judged except maybe combat sports like boxing. If it can't be measured subjectively with a stopwatch, tape measure etc it's not a proper sport. So no diving, gymnastics, skateboard freestyle, horse dancing or any other such art.

I also wouldn't have most of the team sports. If Olympic gold is not the pinnacle of your sport then no games for you. How many footballers would swap a World Cup winners medal for an Olympic one? If you are a hockey player there is no greater prize than Olympic gold but if you play basketball the pinnacle is the NBA championships (especially if you are American).
I'd like to see the football replaced with 5 a side like the rugby has the 7s and b-ball has the 3-on-3.
...and golf and tennis can get stuffed too. No one is swapping their major for a gold.
