I am surprised such a decent chap such as yourself is happy to hang out with the compassionless scum who inhabit that place, intensely insulting but unable to handle getting it back, aggressively hostile and wilfully offensive in their moderation and seeing a confession of mental and physical ill health as something to take the piss out of. Apparently, having Parkinsons and occasional suicidal thoughts makes me a clown. Are you really happy mixing with such scum? Full of pumped up make believe lefties, a cross between Citizen Smith and the student played by Rik Mayall in The Young Ones. Any leftwinger lacking compassion is like a car without an engine, an ideologue who doesnt actually give a shit about people at all, it is really all about them. As with most sites there are some interesting and funny people mixed in with the dickheads.I don't post in any of the political threads, tbf I rarely do here either. The thing that sets Urban 75 apart is that the biggest and most highly offensive dickheads are the ones actually in charge. With most forums, not being a dick is an essential requirement for any position of authority or responsibility. There, actually being a dick appears to be the most essential requirement. Dickheads only need apply. So yes there are dickheads on every forum, but Urban 75 is in a class of its own in actually putting the dickheads in charge. |

I think the thing you have to understand about U75 is that it's not really a political debate forum. It's more of a social network of like minded people from Brixton. Many of whom know each other in real life. The group think is Anarcho-Communist so for the most part they do not have any time for any of the main parties. My defence of constitutional monarchy went down like a lead balloon. Sadly, Brixton is so gentrified these days, even though they don't represent Brixton on there (they seem way too middle-class), they represent Brixton even less now as it's been so socially cleansed it's soon going to be all bankers and all kinds of other high finance types. My uncle who lived there much of his life was starting to not recognise it, as of a few years ago
At least it's not filled with police patrols on every single street corner anymore
