We came very close to equalising with those headers. Whether or not Spain were the better team and dominated the game, sometimes, teams win games despite being the lesser team or at least draw. IMHO, big difference between that and Spain having a world class striker.

It is a fair summary. You talk about using your logic , you use yours. For example , you talked initially about the string of headers England had at the end where they failed to equalise , dreaming about if only , yet when I pointed out it could have been three or four nil , if only Spain had a world class striker , you did a volte face and had a pop at me . Well Dappy laid out great stats earlier showing how successful Southgate is Can't really dispute them I would suggest then that you and dappy aren't really football fans. In football , there is only one thing that matters .Winning trophies. In the league , you win a trophy for finishing top. The league stats dont lie , and England got relegated under Southgate from their nations league . in cups , you win a trophy by winning the final game. The stats show England are the only nation in Europe to lose two suvcessive euro finals , and have the worst international record of the so called top world footballing nations in terms of trophies won. you have won the same euro championships as scotland , and won one World Cup before most of us were born. Since you won that World Cup , three Scottish teams have won European trophies in the preceding years. we can dispute dappys lies lies and dam statistics , and im only gutted saint Gareth the knee taker has stood down. |

lmfao. There's no trophy for losers mate. There's a runners up medal. There's nothing for going out in the group stages without winning a single game though. Still, just qualifying is achievement enough for some of the lower teams. Bless. ![]()  Wee yamal, the black Spanish player , was two years old when harry Kane made his footballing debut. Plenty of Scottish clubs , such as rangers , Celtic and Dundee Utd have also been losers , like England in other finals , but no one talks about them , just as no one will talk about England losing. Fair enough, some of those leagues even featured Barca, so they weren't minor. Never knew too much about Celtics' history, but sounds intriguing Pretty good reasons to start a club, they still do a lot of stuff for charity so I'm impressed. |

Naw........its no monte. Its the Scots word "yoor" .I suspect the software that produced the graphic doesn't do Scots , and tried to change it to English , which is why the "u " Is in there. Scots speakers dont use the English words "you are" so would have no need to put the apostrophe in there to shorten it. If you ever hear a Glaswegian changing to the English "you are" , for example , its normally done to emphasise something sarcastically. I have that problem all the time regarding people thinking my spelling and grammar in your English is poor , because predictive text and spell checkers automatically change how im thinking and trying to write in Scots , to English. I shall continue to make allowances for you then... |

In the years since England last won a trophy , Celtic have become the first club from Northern Europe to win the then champions league , rangers won the cup winner cup , and Aberdeen were the last team to beat the Spanish club Real Madrid in a European final. We've had both rangers and Celtic knock out the English champions , and other top English clubs , and teams like dundee Utd beat Barcelona , Gary Lineker and all , home and away. You have to hand it though to the English media. 58 years since they last won a trophy , the only trophy they have ever won in history , and they have the anglo saxon plebs convicned they are world beaters. I think it's time to land back on planet earth. dont you? |
