Will anyone be voting Labour in the upcoming GE and if so why?
I resigned from the Labour party when Starmer became leader and will have to clearly consider who I will vote for, probably not Labour though.
I was and still am a Corbyn supporter, and whilst I do not know how he would have managed the country I can only believe we would not be in the mess we are now.

Looking at the responses on here it would appear no one will vote Labour. 🤷♂️

Can't see any reason to vote Labour but the alternatives are equally awful. We do need a General Election but we also need something worth voting for.

It's no coincidence that you can't say lavatory without saying tory.

Like many principled lefties who believed in something, when the unprincipled careerists took over I ended up leaving too. Labour has been permanently stolen from us. I will not be voting Labour in either the local elections or the GE. Tories, Lib Dems or Reform will not get my vote either. Voting for the shysters only encourages them. I think Labour is going to win, but the primary reason for that is that so many people are so badly fed up with the Tories that they will vote for whoever has the best chance of defeating them where they are, which in very many places will be Labour, but in a fair few will be the Lib Dems who are also likely to gain seats. Support for Labour seems mostly to be based on little more substantial than an intense desire to get the Tories out at any cost.

I am probably going to vote for the independent in my area. I will see who the candidates are. Some of my former comrades including relatives of mine are involved with an entity calling itself The Socialist Party, and they are thinking of putting up a candidate. If they do I might well vote for that candidate. Otherwise probably the Greens unless there is some other Socialist or genuinely progressive candidate

Sadly for you I don't think you would have to worry how Corbyn would manage the country as with him as leader Labour would not get elected. The working class man might think Corbyn better represents him, but he also worries that his principles might cost him his job. I will be voting Labour in the next election and I beg everyone to do the same, we need a change from the Tory corrupt party.

Partly because nothing could be worse than what we have, Partly because Sir Kier is not all of Labour, there are many shadow cabinet members I really respect. Angela Rayner, Rachael Reeves, Yvette Cooper for starters. Johnathon Ashworth and Lisa Nandy also speak my language

Sorry, I cannot vote Labour in it's current form because what are they offering that is all that different? Plus I know what kind of people these centrists and Blairites are. I shared a party with them for 4 years and saw how these types think, and behave. I shared meetings with quite a few of them locally. I have met several Labour MPs personally in that time, including Lisa Nandy, Luke Pollard, and Dawn Butler. The latter was the most authentic and impressive. Luke Pollard is known locally for saying whatever he thinks people want to hear whilst only revealing what he really thinks to a select few. Nandy herself at the meeting I attended came across as trying to pitch to us but wouldn't commit to very much personally, just another politician being a politician.

Johnathon Ashworth and Lisa Nandy also speak my language If Labour wins the election as seems very likely, being the credit where credit is due kind of guy that I am, I will judge everything it says or does on its merits as I see them. My expectations are not high but I hope to be pleasantly surprised. I will not start attacking it for the sake of it, but will even-handedly praise anything which I think is good whilst criticising anything I think is bad. But based on everything I have seen and heard to date, I will not be voting Labour. Sorry but my mind is made up on that point. They seem to believe that they only have to go after Tory voters because the support of the left can be taken for granted. Well not with me it can't.

If so they aren't telling you what you want to hear as you claimed above. Anyway I hope you don't get another Tory government as a reward for your principles.
