We're not appearing on google or even on the ProBoards directory. If that changed it might help.

I'll write some SEO stuff for the google bots to find and ask my web team to have a look at the metatags. Not sure how that works on a site you don't own.

Ok. I've written some stuff including likely search terms such as Politics forum etc.
Lets see what else my team suggest.

Most forums don't permit members to mention other forums. However, most don't have a rule about providing links to another site in their signature. Members who visit other sites might consider that. It goes without saying that it shouldn't be done on a site where undesirables are likely to see it.

I told the last two decent active posters at UKD and one has signed up here (but I suspect was also separately contacted via Tinc's site). I could send a system email to a wider selection. I'm also active at forumbox and there's a few there I could contact with care.
Have to say this site's structure is no oil painting and IMHO won't attract people to sign up. It's copied from Tincs which was copied from Fox's pofo.uk. There's no News area, there's no UK politics area, no Sports area etc etc

I previously tried to attract posters to another site. It didn't work. The feedback was mainly negative comments about the aesthetics of the site. It would be helpful if you could contact the people you mentioned, though. |
